This is an illustration I originally created as a part of a Drawing I class assignment. The original objective was for students to create a drawing based on a decalcomania or beautiful corpse poem they created in class.
I decided to create a drawing based on my decalcomania, but the fully colored image was created much later as a submission for the 2021 Student Art Show at my university.

It was created with ink on mixed media paper.
This next image is the original inked drawing that I submitted for my Drawing I class.
This final image was a touch-up and digitally colored version of the prior image. While the inkwork was left largely unchanged, I altered some of the butterfly girl’s details to match up with the style shifts I underwent between 2021 and 2019.
This final image was what I submitted to the ORU Student Art Show of Fall 2021.
