This graphic design assignment’s objective was to design an event poster advertising a cinema’s hypothetical movie night. We needed to create a composition, select some appropriate font faces, test our understanding of informational hierarchy, etc.
Production Information
Graphic design student had to create two event posters for the same movie. One poster would be laid out vertically and the other would be horizontal. Each poster needed to hold contain the following information:
- Movie Name
- The movie’s director and starring actors
- “2022 South Tulsa Cinema Series Movie Night
April 19, 2022
Seating opens at 7 pm.
Show begins at dusk.”
Our movie could be selected among the following titles: UHF (1989), Twister (1996), and Tulsa (1949).
